We Will Stand Firm!

October 11, 2007 · 6 Comments

This is our reply to Anti-Corruption Agency.

Today, after two and a half hours of grilling, Siva and I stood by our promise to our whistle-blowers. We will not reveal their identity. Their safety is our top most priority. If the ACA really wants to jail us on this, so be it.

Sincere thanks to all phone calls, sms-es, emails of courage and care. I feel so touched. When we were walking towards ACA this morning, an unknown street person walked up to us and say:” Again (to ACA)? Good luck!”. We felt so warm by these greetings. That gave us hope! That will keep us going!

We really hope that the Abdullah administration will be serious in investigating the rot in the judiciary. It is unfortunate that their attention has turned to us. We are not important. What is at stake is the judicial system in this country. Can it continue to protect the ordinary citizens? Can it continue to deliver justice?

Perhaps, it is our responsibility of all citizens in Malaysia to think during this Hari Raya, Selamatkan sistem kehakiman kita!

Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir batin. Selamat balik kampung.

When you stand up for what is right and you uphold your integrity, in the face of bigotry, you ARE important! Thank you Sim, thank you Siva. May your struggles bring about positive and constructive change in the judiciary, in the corridors of power and ultimately to the lives of the rakyat!

    Dear Tze Tzin:

Read all about you and what you are doing. Keep up your resolve!

Contrary to what those folks in officialdom Malaysia tell you, you are doing the right thing. They should be investigating the contents of the tape, not the tape. And least of all you, for bringing the tape out.

When Malaysia does finally get a juducial system worthy of our respect (which will eventually come), then you can have the satisfaction of having played a major role in bringing that about.

    Cheers!
